How to Bridge to Arbitrum With Transporter

Learn how to bridge to Arbitrum and transfer assets between blockchains like Avalanche, Ethereum, Polygon, and Wemix.

Transporter, underpinned by Chainlink CCIP, enables seamless token transfers between Arbitrum and numerous other blockchains, including Avalanche, Base, BNB Chain, Celo, Ethereum, Gnosis Chain, Mode, Optimism, Polygon, and Wemix, all with complete peace of mind.

What Is Arbitrum?

Arbitrum is a layer 2 blockchain network enhancing Ethereum's performance and reducing transaction costs through optimistic rollups. Fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), Arbitrum supports a robust ecosystem of DeFi applications, NFT marketplaces, blockchain-based games, and more.

Prepare To Bridge To Arbitrum

Confirm that you have the required wallet and tokens:

  1. Ensure you have a compatible cryptocurrency wallet. Transporter supports MetaMask, MetaMask-compatible wallets (e.g. Rabby and Frame), Coinbase Wallet, and WalletConnect-enabled wallets. Smart contract wallets are also supported.
  2. Determine which assets you plan to bridge to Arbitrum, such as ETH, LINK, USDC, or other supported tokens.
  3. Verify that you have enough assets (native token of source blockchain or LINK) to cover the gas fees needed for processing the transaction.

5 Steps To Bridge To Arbitrum

Step 1.

Visit transporter.io and click on “Start bridging.” Once inside the Transporter app, connect your wallet by selecting “Connect wallet +” in the upper right corner of the screen. Review and accept the terms and conditions, then sync your chosen wallet with the Transporter app.

Step 2.

Choose the blockchain where your assets are currently located by selecting it in the "From” section. For instance, if your assets are on the Ethereum blockchain (source chain) and you want to transfer them to Arbitrum (destination chain), select Ethereum at this stage.

Step 5.

Once you've made your selections, you can review the "Time to Destination" and "Fees + Destination Gas."

To begin the transfer, click "Send" and authorize the transaction in your wallet. You will then be taken to a screen that provides real-time updates on the secure cross-chain transfer. While Transporter manages each step, you can sit back and relax.

Success

Upon completion of all cross-chain transfer steps, you will receive a notification confirming the successful transfer of your tokens. You can then seamlessly interact with the Arbitrum network, using your assets for a variety of activities.
