Securely Transfer Tokens To Base With Transporter

Learn how to bridge to Base and transfer assets between blockchains like Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Polygon, and Wemix using Transporter.

Transporter, underpinned by Chainlink CCIP, enables you to easily and securely transfer tokens between Base and many other blockchains, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Celo, Ethereum, Gnosis Chain, Mode, Optimism, Polygon, and Wemix.

Get Ready To Bridge To Base

Make sure you have the necessary wallet and tokens:

  1. Ensure you have a compatible cryptocurrency wallet. Transporter supports MetaMask, MetaMask-compatible wallets (e.g. Rabby and Frame), Coinbase Wallet, and WalletConnect-enabled wallets. Smart contract wallets are also supported.
  2. Decide which assets you intend to bridge to Base, such as ETH, LINK, USDC, or other supported tokens.
  3. Make sure you have sufficient assets (native token of source blockchain or LINK) to cover the gas fees required for processing the transaction.

5 Steps To Bridge To Base

Step 1.

Visit transporter.io and click on “Start bridging.” Then within the Transporter app, connect your wallet by clicking the “Connect wallet +” in the upper right corner of the screen. Next, review and accept the terms and conditions if you agree, and then sync your wallet of choice to the Transporter app.

Step 2.

Select the blockchain where your assets currently reside by clicking on it under the "From section.” For example, if your assets are on the Ethereum blockchain (source chain) and you wish to transfer them to Base (destination chain), you would select Ethereum at this step.

Step 5.

After making your selections, you can view the "Time to destination" and "Fees + Destination gas."

To initiate the transfer, click "Send" and sign the Ethereum transaction in your wallet. You'll then be directed to a screen updating you on each step of the secure cross-chain transfer. During this process, you can sit back and relax as Transporter handles each step for you.
